Port Townsend
From KayakWiki
Port Townsend is a lovely Victorian town on the remote Olympic Penninsula in Washington State. It is a well known haven for wooden boat enthusiasts. Many wooden boat builders and designers have made the area their home.
The town experienced explosive growth in the late 1800's due to a planned railroad line. Then, for whatever reason, the railroad line was built to Seattle instead and Port Townsend went bust. Port Townsend retains much of its original charm and is a great place to visit.
