Paddle switch roll

This roll looks really impressive as long as the switch is done smoothly with minimal banging on the boat. Easiest with light carbon type paddle as it is easy to balance and lift smoothly.

Described for a roll up on the left hand side.

1. Place paddle along side right hand side of boat.
2. Hold casually in the centre of the shaft with right hand.
3. Put on your best "this is so easy" expression.
4. Capsize to the right.
5. Push paddle clear of water still only with right hand.
6. Twist wrist so that paddle turns so it is now across the bottom of the inverted boat.
7. Reach up with left hand on left side and take paddle from right hand.
8. Put paddle alongside left side of boat and set up for a normal screw roll.
9. Roll up. Look casually around and ignore applause.
