Kite sailing

From KayakWiki

Many kayakers like kite sailing. The most popular kites are likely the parafoil type. These are frameless kites that are easy to deploy and stow when not in use. They can be launched from the kayak and will pull the kayak at a good clip. They are not effective in very light winds and are potentially dangerous in high winds. They will pull you in the direction that the wind blows and are much less efficient when sailed at an angle to the wind.
