Hand of God

This rescue is used when the inverted paddler is unconcious, trapped or otherwise unable to assist themselves.

Bring your kayak alongside the inverted kayak. With one hand, reach over the kayak hull and grab the deck (or paddler if you can reach them). Place the other hand on the hull near the chine closest to yourself. Simultaneously push down on the chine and lift with the other hand, rolling the kayak and paddler up towards you.
