Composite

Any material that is composed of two or more separate materials that, when combined, provide a stronger or lighter product than each constituent material alone. Common composites in kayak building are FRP, GRP and exotic fibers in resin: carbon fiber or Kevlar. In addition, strip built qualifies as composite.
