Browser Display Problems
From KayakWiki
If you find the page layout is wrong and the previous time you visited, it was fine, try clearing your browser's cache (type <ctrl><f5>); the wiki's skin may have changed.
Mediawiki uses some pretty fancy HTML and CSS features. For that reason, some browsers do not display the pages quite right. In addition, the default Kayakwiki skin uses a graphic at the top of the page that may take up a lot of room if you use a low resolution screen (like 800x600). In that case, try another skin.
If you find that the page looks funny (e.g. fields overlapping and blocking text), try the following:
- Make sure your browser is up to date
- Download the latest version and apply any outstanding fixes.
- Try changing skins
- The kayakwiki skin (kwskin) works for some browsers but not all. I don't have the resources to configure every patch file for every version of every make of browser. If you are registered and logged in, click on Preferences, select the Skin tab and select another skin.
- Monoskin is similar to what Wikipedia uses and takes up little screen space.
- Nostalgia and Classic are similar to the old UseModWiki formats.
- Admin is a skin based on kwskin and is used to test changes to kwskin - use at your own risk.
- Change Browsers
- To be blunt, Internet Explorer is not worth the effort. Firefox is a much better browser - it is more secure, has more neat features and works fine with Mediawiki software.

Known bugs
- In Internet Explorer v6, the side bar (everything on the left) disappears off the bottom of the screen.
- Fixed 2007-12-15. You may have to clear the browser's cache (<ctrl><f5>) to pick up the changes. --Michael Daly 18:50, 15 December 2007 (EST)
